Delish Real Food Co’s Roosterkoek Biltong Pre-mix is an easy-to-use pre-mix that can be prepared and cooked in the kitchen or outdoors. Serve your Roosterkoek warm with butter, Jam or Cheese to add your personal touch to it. All our pre-mixes are GMO Free and manufactured with Stone Ground Millstone Artisan Flour.
This pre-mix is packaged in a 475g fully recyclable secure paper stand-up pouch with plastic lining that can easily be packed into your cooler box, side pannier, camping bag or picnic basket.
What You’ll Need:
- 150ml Lukewarm Water
- 100g Butter
- 2 Eggs
Baking Instructions:
- Empty the flour mix into a bowl and set aside.
- Add yeast sachet provided to 150ml lukewarm water.
- Rub 100g diced butter or margarine into the dry ingredients, working lightly with fingertips.
- Beat 2 eggs into the yeast and water mixture.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Let the dough rest in a warm area, until doubled in size.
- Shape dough into balls of your desired size and knead off balls.
- Rest for another 10 min.
- Grill over medium coals for 15-20 min, turning often.
